Pink & White Zebra look

Crazy week the one I just left behind.
And a new one is about to start... oh, goodie.

Anyway, I tried 3 new looks for my nails, but I'm gonna share with you just the latest one with you.
I used for the first time a disk with premade design to try to decorate my nails.
This is the disk, plus the nail-polishes I used:

- China Glaze First and Last
- Rimmel Lycra Pro Pop Rose
- Rimmel Nail Tip Whitener

True, the last one is the polish used to create french tips on nails, but since I was lacking any proper polish for nail art, this served its purpose perfectly.
(Better not use regular polish with pre-designed disk, it's not dense enough to stick).

This was the final result:

(sorry for the bad quality picture)

What do you think?
I like it enough, certainly better than my first experiment, with a black base and pink hearts (I used a regular hot pink polish, and in fact the decorations came out smudged and not bright enough).

ORLY - Cashmere Cardigan

I got this color in June, seeing it on the site I bought it from it looked like a warmer color.
I'ts a beautiful color, I like it.
But I think I'll be using it more in winter, it doesn't feel like a summer color.
It's a really creamy polish, which is the type I like the most.

No matter how many times I tried to properly capture the color, it always came out lighter than it actually is.
It's more of an indigo-purple color.

My first attempt at bi-color nails

This is the first time I tried to go for something more than one solid color for my nails.
And you can see it, since it's hardly smooth or artstic =P

I used these nail polishes:

-China Glaze First and Last
- Deborah ColorPLAY 57
- Donna Più Black

This was the result:

Excuse the crappy picture.

The picture doesn't show the base color completely, but it's actually more of an orange-red than a full orange. I really like, first tiem I tried it.

The black lines came out more random than I had planned, my hand was shaking a lot.
Hopefully with practice, I'll get better at it.

A sort of intoduction

It seems only polite to write some sort of introduction post.
I hope you'll forgive me if I'm not that good at it.

I'm an italian girl in her 20s with a passion for experimenting... experimenting with baking, experimenting with nail art, experimenting with photoshop... Doesn't mean I'm any good at these things, but I like to keep note of the things I manage to accomplish or create.

Instead of clogging my Twitter with pictures or my LJ with posts on my experiments, boring my friends to death, I decided to create this separate blog.

In here you'll find posts on my "nails experiments", pics of things I cooked or baked, maybe some posts with the icons I created. Who knows, in the future something else might be added.

For now, this is all.
